Elefant & Castle is a small '' hole in the wall '' place ... but don't let it fool you ! Their curry dishes are amazing & cooked to perfection ! Although there isn't a huge menu ... everyday there's always a soup and a choice of a Beef ,Chicken & Vegetable curry dish . The menu changes every week... More

Great food and friendly service located in the Neubau district of Vienna. The food is served in perfect sized portions and is truly healthy and delicious! Every week there is a new menu with a Vegetarian, Chicken and Beef option. Usually I combine two of them! Great Coffee!

A wonderful new approach to serve food to the public ! The food is light, perfect for lunch, and how popular it is with neighbouring offices you can easily see with lots of people carrying large bags with take-away food. The menu choice was very small which wouldn't have been a problem if they were all available. We ate at 8pm so were surprised not to have the choice. The food was indescript and the service offhand. I wouldn't recommend this one

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
