I visited here nearly 2 years ago. This week I went with a group of business colleagues. We reserved a big table and paid by invoice. Everything worked out well including the serivce when ordering in English. The food was very good. The Goose Liver Starter was excellent. This is stll a very good recommendation for a meal.

Amazing, Amazing! From the delicious food to the professional servers.....This restaurant is a must! The Weiner Schnitzel is the "go to" choice. The two large portions come with a side salad that is extremely tasty. The prices are affordable considering that you feel that you are im a 4 star restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

This was my second visit to this restaurant. On both occasions the food was very good. The first time the service was excellent. The second time it was awful: extremely slow and not very friendly. One hour and 45 minutes for a two course meal is ridiculous. Don't bother going unless you have a few days to spare.........

Glacis Beisl was near to our hotel and we decided to give it a try on our first night in Vienna. This is a lovely restaurant with a great ambiance. The menu had a very good selection of dishes and, even though it was a busy evening at Glacis Beisl, the service was excellent. Of particular note was the wiener... More

The menu was a selection of appealing dishes, of which our group tried a wide variety. Pricing was a tad on the high side, but the place was the right atmosphere to enjoy a pleasant occasion out. Service was a highlight. Our waitress was lovely and extremely helpful. Unfortunately for credit's sake, her name eludes me...

Well worth a visit, looked for somewhere to visit on our first night close to the hotel and this place had great reviews, it didn't disappoint. Great variety of food, with an english translated menu, and all the traditional dishes. It was also a lot cheaper than we expected!

The food was amazing, and plenty of classics on the list. I tried boiled beef in many places and this classic was absolutely the best in this place. I think everybody in my party was happy with the food. Don't forget the desert list! The garden looks beautiful so I'm sure it's very nice in the summer. The service was... More

We were recommended this place which we really enjoyed. Reasonable price, excellent food - had the goulash and the black pudding, both really good. Nice ambience. Enjoyed the Austrian wine - a big selection.

Typical Vienna Beisl offering well presented classic Vienna dishes at a reasonable price, in a peasant but modern atmosphere. I was eXpecting to have a heavy Vienna evening meal, Glacis was able to conjure up something classic schweibsbraten with dumpling but it was well portioned and the dumplings light. Good place to visit if you have done the Museums Quartier... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins.
