this wasn't the best Turkish meal I have ever had neither was it the worst good food nice atmosphere the waitress had an attitude, maybe its because the restaurant was huge and full or maybe they were like that but it is a nice place for Halal food ..

The extensive menu serves many of the Turkish cuisine wonders. Portions are much bigger than in a regular restaurant in Turkey. I tried 4-5 different foods and all of them were awesome. Everyone has to drink their Ezogelin soup, especially in cold evenings of beautiful Wien.

The restaurant is located a few minutes walk from Josefstädter Straße, good turkish food and there is a street market located just outside the restaurant. The staff does not speak much english, so either you need to know what you ordering or know Austrian of Turkish otherwise

This restaurant owes much of its popularity to its spacious garden. The food is good and not expensive. We go often and find that service is not consistently good, but we always go back.

After walking around the Brunnenmarkt which is reminiscent of an oriental bazaar - you pop into this very attractive and large garden, where it is quiet and cool. There are fountains and the garden is large enough that you do not have tables on top of each other. Waiters were competent (not exactly friendly but not unfriendly) and approached immediately... This is my favorite turkish restaurant in town. The meat is delicious and the choice of dishes is amazing also for vegetarian options. Good white bread included. Kind staff and great atmosphere in the garden.

The place is in a Balkan neighborhood, offering a variety of turkish specialties. The food looked good and we ordered a mixed grill for two, which honestly was not as much as we expected. However, the quality was good. The price was on the higher end, but this is not uncommon for Vienna.

The location is pretty scary but apart from that this restaurant is a gem. The food was great and the portions were enough to share. The only complaint was that they didn't have many of the items on the menu.

Staying in Ottakring

Neighbourhood Profile
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
