"Dots" is situated at the rooftop of a building of Mariahilferstrasse. The atmosphere is good, service as well. The food is fresh and delicious. Its not exactly traditional Asian cuisine , but its good enough for the proposed level.

The food was great, portions wasn't small and value for money was correct. Design of the restaurant and the atmosphere made by the dj are great and makes you want to come back. If you are in Viena try this experimental sushi and you will love it!

Dots Experimental Sushi is located down a passageway off the top end of Mariahilferstrasse, the main shopping street of Vienna between the 6th and 7th districts, a 15/20 minute walk from the centre. We went with friends as we wanted a lively, young, trendy place. The manned cloakroom upon entry immediately demonstrates that this is an upper-end place. Then the... More

On one side we had a great experience at this place in March, on the other side not such a good one in September. Services was quite "undercooled" and food not spectacular which you expect at this place ... therefore "only" an average...

It was a place for dinner with my friends. Not so close to city center. But very nice atmosphere and food! Food was very good. Very tasty and place feels like fashionable.

Food was great and prices fair, given that portions are big. We had the sushi for 2 (which was 30 euros) and I absolutly recommend it. Service was pretty slow, otherwise it would have been full points.

Thank Fritz K

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
