This restaurant was recommended by my wife's Thai girl friend, who lives in Vienna. The restaurant appears to be somewhat anonymous and may be difficult to spot. Appearance both outdoors and in the entrance may seem a bit dubious, but the room where we were...More

First of all: the overall quality of all Thai restaurants in Vienna is bad (compared to other European Cities); there is no really good one. Thai Lotus and Bangkok (Joanelligasse) are the best (bust still just OK). The atmosphere of the Pinong Restaurant reminded me...More

If you are looking for a restaurant to go with friends for a meal, drinks or a good chat, this is the perfect place to go. The food is excellent, the waitresses are lovely and the restaurant has an original Thai decoration that makes the...More

We arrived in the restaurant and it was empty (except for 1 table), we ordered and wait for 1 hour to get our meal (no joke!). The food was mostly cold and it didn´t full fit the expectations. In general it was a very disappointing...More

It is a really nice place. Each time I visit it, the food is really tasteful. It has never been a disappointment. Some dishes have the option to come hot, extra hot or Thai hot :-). Highly recommendable.

Do not be distracted by the shabby outside and mismatched interior design of this place. Even though the restaurant looks a bit gross, the food is excellent, fresh and prepared similar to what you'd expect finding in BKK. Service is very friendly and courteous. Can...More

The outside area is not that inviting but don't be distracted about that 1st glimpse! Inside it is a kind of livingroom athmosphere, not typically thai. As appetizers we ate soups (tom kah gai & tom yam gung). The 'gai' was almost perfect, the 'gung'...More

When I was living in Vienna for many years, I regularly visit this wonderful Thai restaurant. Pinong is an authentic Thai restaurant in the 7th District, near to Neubaugasse, located at Seidengasse. Pinong is owned & run by a Thai family - hence the dishes...More

I regularly visit here. The place is easily one of the best and funniest Thai places I have been too. It is located in a "dead" area in the 7th district - all around is housing and it is always quiet and then you have...More

As a Thai, I am often disappointed with the so-called 'Thai food' outside of Thailand. However, Pinong is one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever tried. The place is decorated in a typically Thai way - works for a romantic dinner, as well as...More

Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries,
arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde

cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make
for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and
art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at
Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a
