We stopped here for an iced coffee and dessert. The price of the iced coffee seemed a bit expensive - but not when we got it! It was so delicious - like a dessert itself. What a great experience to sit upstairs and look outside...More

While visiting the city of Vienna, a MUST STOP is Demel, where they have the most extraordinary pastries and service!!! It's impossible to choose between all of the wonderful sweets, so of course, we had to choose several!!!! The service was fantastic and our waiter...More

Nothing really special about this place. Very crowded. Very touristic. Nice interior design. But that was it.

That it the place to have a coffee with a piece of cake ! A lovely romantic restaurant that looks more like a very cosy "tea room". If you dont have a drink,go to see inside , it is really worth it !!!

This is not a cafe for the budget traveller but if the price and snooty waiters don't scare you off it's a really special place. We came for a couple coffees and a slice of cake, all of which were quite tasty. For an extra...More

Sugar overload. the sachertorte, though nice, was loaded with sugar - to the extent that it was sickeningly sweet. I've had better sacher torte in Vienna.

A city cafe right in the heart of vienna. Really good location and the price not too expensive. A must try is their world's famous chocolate cake! And Vienna kaffee!! Love it! Remember to leave a tip and buy some local praline opposite this cafe!

Great cakes and deserts, but very busy and waiting is unorganized/ We ended up with to-go cakes and ate at the michealplatz which is a great thing to do anyway compared to sitting inside a stuffed room on a glorious summer evening

We went to Demel for coffee and cakes. It's fairly close to the entrance to. Hofburg apartments. Do choose your cake at the entrance. You will get a paper note, and then queue towards the back for a table. The waitress will take your coffee...More

Yes - I assume you can as there were tables with reserved signs on them when I visited.

First of all the portions are much smaller in Europe so you wont' get as much as in the USA unless you are talking espresso which is sounds like you aren't. Why not just get a cappuccino which is coffee with milk?
