If you want a good coffee, the Milano is one of the best choices in the area. It's a cosy, modern italian café where you may have a nice talk as well as it is perfect for just reading a good book for quite a while.

Cafe milano is a nice place to stay and drink some coffee with friends. The service is excellent and the cafe is very good(they have bristot coffee there). It's easy to reach by tram(the station is directly infront of the cafe) and they play nice lounge-music all the time. They have big windows and they can open them in summer-time.... More

We arrived in Vienna on a Sunday, there weren't many restaurants open in this area. We decided to eat here and I'm glad we did. The food and service were excellent! The waitress recommended the antipasto platter, it was really good. 3 of us ordered salads, the portions were large, fresh and very flavorful. We also enjoyed the cakes there... More

I stopped here three times for take-away coffee. The apple strudel is very light on the cinnamon (the way we like it) and the portion is generous. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The quiet jazz playing in the background is very soothing.

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
