It's a nice place to eat. The food is ok, but not so spiced for my taste. The service is good and the waitress warm.

We have tried the burgers and the salads. All the ingredients come out of the freezer. The bun and the fries are tasteless and there is no sauce on the burger. We give two stars only because the staff was friendly. Hints for the chef: Grill the generic bun with some butter/oil Add some sauce to the burger Use salt... More

Nice and simple design, full window to the street, bright; good for a breakfast before visiting the city

Visited here a few times during a weekend visit to Vienna as close to the hotel I stayed at. Friendly staff, good beer and good outside seating area. Didn't try the food but it looked good. Had a TV outside to show the euro 2016 games. No negatives

Had a breakfast in this restaurant... Service was really really slow. Quality of the food was ok, not worth of the money... This place is totally overrated

This little café/restaurant has quite a varied menu, including some very nice specials. There were many breakfast choices. The smoking section (what is it with Vienna and smoking!) is at the back behind closed doors so non-smokers can dine comfortably. It also has a pavement café section. Plenty of vegetarian options.

We were just walking along Mariahilfer Strasse on a Sunday night, starving for a sit-down dinner that wasn't too expensive, and we found these tables and chairs all set up with menus along the walkway, but no customers. I can't tell you what the inside of the restaurant is like, but our table was great for people watching. The food... More

We walked into this little cute place to have breakfast. They have several breakfast menus at perfect price-value rate. We had the Le Backo Breakfast and it was amazin with 2 types of bread, scrambled egg, gouda cheese, tunacream, a cappuchino, water and orange juice. It was well prepared, tasty and also big. The restaurant is also very nice and... More

This is just around the corner from the InterCity Hotel and on the way to the WestBahnHof so we called in for dinner. It is a most unprepossessing place - my wife described it as 'grotty', the furniture is plain and simple, more alike to a quick stop café than a restaurant. Service was perfunctory. We thought we would chose... More

We use to love this cute place and we came to visit this restaurant every year since 2009. But.....this year we were shocked and very very disappointed because we found there such a dirt all over(inside and outside even more), greasy plates and bad food too.No romantic atmosphere like last years, just a dirty floor, chairs and tables and a... Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
