So basically, we arrived without knowing what to expect since we have never tried Bulgarian food. The result? AMAZING DELICIOUS FOOD. First of all, the service was great, we arrived around 22 (10 pm) with the impression that the restaurant was about to close and even closing around that time, they received us with a smile and a very prompt... The service was great! Our waitress was very smiley, fast and helpful! The food was the same as in Bulgaria- delicious! The selection of Bulgarian wines and beers was superb! Lovely traditional music on the background! I loved the decor too! A must go place! I will definitely come back the next time I'm back to Vienna!

There are no minuses, the amazing food from Bulgaria, the ethnic interior, traditional Bulgarian folk music, and fast and friendly waitress. What else one can wish for from restaurant, we don't have such on point here, which is a shame. You will be not dissapointed!

Very good ! The menu is traditional Bulgarian food on reasonable price. The host is always friendly. I will go back there when I'm hungry in this neighborhood.

We arrived for dinner about 8:30pm. After asking a few times if someone could take our order, after about 20mins the waiter finally said he would take a drinks order and come back later to take our food order. We kept asking and after another 25 mins left the restaurant. Not sure why we got such appalling serving but would... More

It was almost empty when we went, but we were treated very well. The Bulgarians eat here and like it, so I went with good expectations. It is true what someboday said - the food is not extremely beautiful. But the portions were big, the food very good, it felt a bit like grandma grilled her meat in the backyard.... More

Lots of meat from the barbecue with potatoes, sauces, and a shopska salata. All you need to enjoy a good Bulgarian dinner is available at this place at a good quality and at very decent prices. If the weather allows you can also sit outside.

A very rich menu covering the whole typical and tasty Bulgarian cuisine in a traditional and cosy setting. If you are many people it's worth to order different things and share!

Staying in Margareten

Neighbourhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
