Sometimes you just need to give yourself a little present. There are many chocolate stores and bakeries in town, HOWEVER give yourself a GOOD treat and buy some really nice cakes in this bakery/chocolatery! LOVED IT to the max!

Myself and my wife visited here 3 times over a period of a week whilst we were on our honeymoon. We actually arrived on Eurovision weekend and enjoyed a multi coloured cupcake! The chocolate moose cupcake was a massive hit and the red velvet hit the spot too. We would take away back to our hotel but you can sit... More

This cupcake shop was near the apartment we'd rented for our week stay in Vienna. Out for a walk late one morning, we decided to stop in and give it a try. I'm so glad we did. It's a cute place and the cupcakes are tasty! There are a few tables where we could sit to have our sweet (but... More

This place is even more than just recommendable. I actually never had a cupcake anywhere else in the world - so far - that was only half that good!!! Delicious! Don't miss this experience!

I'm definitely a cupcake lover and I look for cupcake shops wherever I travel. I was really excited to try this place because of all the positive reviews online, though I was a bit wary of the prices. Upon entering the shop, the cupcakes looked nice, but appearances were deceiving. These ended up being some of the worst cupcakes I've... More

So we have been to this cup cake shop in MUMOK and really regret it! We decided to have cup cakes for breakfast as they looked incredibly amazing! As well as the take away box... We tried both types, sweet- chocolate cup cake and salty spinach and feta cup cake. Each for 3,90 EUR. The salty one wasn't salty at... More

Quaint little shop that wouldn't be out of place in a trendy district in London. Icing was top notch and coffee/tea was of good quality too. Staff also great. Recommended visit if you are in the MuseumQuartier!

This cafe in the MuseumQuarter adjacent to the Museum of Modern Art (MUMOK) served a very nice salads, coffee and some traditional Austrian pastry. We didn't try the cupcakes which I guess are trendy everywhere, but are inherently inferior to traditional European cakes and pastry.

Had some great cupcakes last week. The Lemon Cupcake is my favourite closely followed by White Chocolate. They do last a couple of days but it is always better to eat them straight away. The store is highly recommended !

Staying in Josefstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theatre, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighbourhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicentre. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighbourhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
