My wife and I happened across Le Cedre by chance as we were leaving Messe-Prater convention centre last evening. Even though Le Cedre is located within the same district we live in we had never seen nor heard of it before. It is a Lebanese restaurant and if you are in the area it is certainly a place to visit.... More

Nice place, friendly stuff, not overcrowded. Smoking area available, as back in good times. Ordered most expensive dish, see my pictures.

We saw reviews and decided to eat at this restaurant. The location is convinient, next to a train station. The neighborhood is just ok. The service, not so good. The food taste, below average. Way too expensive for what you get. I wouldn't eat at this place again...

We visited the restaurant on a early Monday evening. The outside does not reflect the food or service. We ordered 10 different meze which was way to much but it was all great. The falafel was the best I've eaten. Crispy outside and not dry on the inside like most falafel. Everything was great! I loved the Warak inab, muhammara,... More

food was fine, but service could definitely be more friendly - restaurant prob depends on nearby conference centre/one-time customers too much so treating guests in a friendly/welcoming way is not nr 1 priority

Very nice and discent place. Try lebanese vine and arak! Food is good and menu is huge! Ask manager to advise, if you are not familiar with lebanese cuisine

We wanted something quick and nice and that's exactly what we got. The rice that came with our meal was delicious and flavoursome. Overall the food was great with good service.

This was the first time when I tried Lebanese cuisine and it was a very good experience. Le Cedre is a nice restaurant, my meal was good and staff was really friendly and effective. I can recommend this place.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
