Was looking forward to a piece of real sachertorte - as a skilled baker from DK, I’m always respectfull when I see good handcraft. It was dry, without any moist, and topped with icing - I would prefer chocolate. All the cakes look pre-fabriced, sorry...More

I’m sorry, but the place is extraordinary, the food is medium and the waiters are the most boring people in Wien. I’m really sorry for the place and the history. I do not recommend.

I stopped in to meet an old friend for a couple of espressos and a chocolate cake. The coffee was good but the cake just average and not very sweet. My friend said that his cake was a bit salty.

Apart from the strudel, which was excellent everything else was overpriced and below average. When we asked for the bill, our waiter, informed us very abruptly that the service was not included. He insisted, asking if we wanted to add a tip to the total...More

We went for lunch on our first day in the city and have to say the strudel was the best ever! Seats are hard to come by as people wile away the time there but it’s worth the wait to be able to do the...More

Visited Café Schwatzenberg on a walk through the center of Vienna with my girlfriend. Sunny weather...many guests...but we was lucky to spot a free table outside. The waitors was very busy, but we managed to order our drinks real quickly. She forgot the spoon in...More

We had to queue to get in at 18.15. There was music playing, a classical trio, at one end. There’s a good selection of classic cakes at around €6.70 a slice, and the coffee and tea cost €5.20 upwards. Service was polite and fast, although...More

Ordered eggs benedict and got a plate of mush! Without doubt the worst breakfast to date. Service was rushed rather than efficient and the waiters really needed to smile...very clum! Paid for bill and waiter stated bill did not include service gratuity! I reluctantly gave...More

This is a nice vintage cafe, centrally-located and a good place to stop on your way to a concert or the Belvedere museums. The food is adequate and the service is pleasant. But the apple strudel is just the best. It is made with raisins,...More

It is sober looking serious place. Per se not child friendly. However, we saw children and prams when we were there. I would think it can be done.
