I shudder to think how this would've gone without a native German speaker in our party. They charged us .50 each for tap water, 1.50 for bread and 1.20 for two small sachets of butter!!! Our server was slow and rude, my plate was taken away before I'd finished chewing, and the waiter took tips and pretended not to hear... More

In this cafe/restaurant the staff is very unpolite. The toilet (pay for it 50 cent each) is very dirty. Overprice and expensive

No non-cash payments accepted in any form, not even for a €400 bill. No veggie main course options on evening menu, just rather pricey sides served in plastic plates, plus dry salad. Only fish option was not available anymore. Kitchen was absolutely inflexible, it was not even possible to combine the various veggie sides in some other way. Service was... More

Weekend club, mostly Euro trash hangout. Definitely avoid unless you want to overpay for a drink with lots of goth-looking kids. There were crushed beer cans littered all over this place and looks like a dump the next morning.

This place is average at best. The terrace was nice, but the club and the music left something to be desired. The drinks were fine. The place looked like it needed an update.

The only good thing it the location. However the staff was very rude. After waiting for 20-30min to be served I went to look for a server who told me that there was a shift change and that is why we had to wait. No apology or even a fake smile. The drinks were of low quality. I think that... More

My wife and I were walking through the park looking for a nice outdoor cafe for dinner after we had visited the Hoffburg Imperial Palace which is only a few minutes away. We found it here as there are many outdoor tables in a courtyard surrounded by lush vegetation. We were one of the first diners and had a quiet... More

during summer they offer bbq from the smoker so we gave it a try. reservation (recommended) worked well, got a nice table outside. drinks arrived quick, coffee took a little longer but was fine. ordered a black angus, medium, with side dish & 1 sauce (~ 20€) which was really excellent. comes from a smoker so it needs some time.... Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
