We bought two sachet forte and they were both very dry, nothing to do with the real sachet tort. Don't go and don't spend your money in this place, their cakes are absolutely disgusting. I am so disappointed !

After 2 years we came back to this place trying to revamp our austrian Sacher desire. What a delusion. Since we were tourist ( I suppose) we were the only guests without tablecover and napkins, while all the austrians did. We had a salad, a wienerschnitzel a Sachertorte and a Strudel torte. The Sacher was almost dry and- at least-... More

If you haven't had the real Sachertorte before, here you can have it, and it's wonderful. Usually there's a queue to the cafe, but visiting is worth it. Background music is classical music which fits perfectly to the cafe atmosphere.

We couldn't find anywhere to eat for lunch, everything was closing early (Dec 24th). We finally found this café-restaurant. The food was nice, and the staff tries to be there for everyone, even if the café is constantly full (1 experienced server and 3 young trainees). You can eat real food (typical Ausyrian food) and not just cake, as it... More

We stopped in here for cake and coffee after a visit to the Hofburg. As always, the Café Sacher is first class. Especially welcome is the detailed notation on the menus with allergen contents of the food, making it easier to choose. Delicious!

We visited here for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, the restaurant itself had a really nice atmopshere and decor and the food was generously portioned, very tasty and very good value. Location is also excellent as its right in the middle of the old town.

If you do nothing else in Innsbruck you must go here. sachertorte is a famous Austrian chocolate cake. The Christmas markets were outside but here was by far the best €20 we spent. 2x torte + 1 coffee and 1 Port. Beautiful and clean, great service and beautiful little restaurant/coffee house. Great menu too.

The tea and the chocolate were below average.the service was bad. 2 young boys trying to serve you is a poor choice for such a delicate place. ( one of them impolite ,as he didn't even said a word when we said goodnight.the whole experience was bad.and expensive...

The elegant and iconic Café Sacher in Innsbruck is in the Hofburg Imperial Palace and it exudes old world Habsburg atmosphere with modern touches brought in with a 2011 refurbishment. The café is a successful combination of a wine bar, restaurant & café. It offers the opportunity to sample some Original Sacher-Torte but there are also many savoury dishes and a fabulous wine list. In the summer the quiet interior courtyard of the palace is a great venue for sampling some of our extensive selection of cocktails and liqueurs. Host Alexander Klapps and his team treat their guests to outstanding culinary delights. The combination of a café, wine bar and a high-class restaurant offers an impressive choice of creative and delicious dishes, combining innovation and tradition, accompanied by a fine selection of wines.
