We enjoyed an amazing meal: I had white asparagus, my husband had soup as a starter. I had tongue (my favourite there as it reminds me of my childhood), and my husband had the very typical Tafelspitz as a main accompanied by a surprisingly good...More
We were there on a rainy, chilly evening, and though we were told that the atmosphere is even better when you can sit outside, we were more than happy to sit in the roomy main restaurant which has a charming feeling as well. All of...More
Went on a holiday Sunday for lunch -- as did most of Salzburg, it seems . . . Quaint historic Gasthaus atmosphere, absolutely humming with Trachten-appareled locals, so food must be good -- and it was. If you like this Austrian speciality, you'll love Schloss...More

We made a reservation to his place taking a risk after reading some the reviews online. My husband had the gourmet set whilst I ordered off the main menu. The gourmet set we felt was average (the soup was extremely salty) whilst for my tafelspitz...More
