There were 10 of us for dinner. I was not impressed by the standard of service at all and felt that it let the hotel down. The food was the most disappointing meal we had in Salzburrg during out 3 night stay at the hotel. The gentleman who seemed to b in charge was very impatient with us and was... More

Good food which is reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. Fine for families. Good service and the staff speak good English.

It claims to be the oldest beer cellar in Salzburg but despite the woodsy decor and heavy furniture the large room includes plenty of quasi-modern touches, making it somewhat less kitschy than the usual "bierkeller." The different brews on tap are delicious and the cuisine, heavy on Hapsburgian fare, turns out delicious (and ample portions of) schnitzel, tafelspitz, goulasch, wurst,... More

Dear kaibab1, Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback and for visiting our Pitterkeller. We are the oldest beer cellar in Salzburg still in place, but of course it has seen some renovation works. The food we serve is traditional Austrian food but does not necessarily relates to the Habsburg monarchy. We thank you very much for your satisfaction... More

We ate an "included" dinner with our tour group here and found the service and food very good. The atmosphere is typical of an Austrian "keller" (cellar), with lots of wood beams. A pleasant experience.

We went to this bar/restaurant on Saturday 6 August. From the start it created a poor impression. There was one young male waiter wandering around the room in a random fashion, there were no other obvious members of staff. We had to stop him to ask to be seated. A couple of minutes later an older man dumped four menus... More

The restaurant is located under the Crown Plaza hotel. It has a cute, beer cellar feel to it. The food we had was good. The waiter was older and acted grumpy. We sat waiting a long time for him to take our order while we watched him take care of many other things (like clearing another party's table---but there was... More

The male waiters were not at all welcoming. Made bookings each night but had to wait and have them walk past ignoring us for some time.
