very good selection of wines and beers. No food at 3.30pm but that was fine as we wanted a beer! Very nice owner and recommended.

- food too salty, besides that decent. The wiener schnitzel was quite good. - if you are a non-smoker ALL of you will end up smelling- the non-smoking part doesn't work well...

We found this place by accident after a fairly tiring day visiting the nearby salt mine using local buses. We arrived at 5.30pm to find an empty restaurant ( we were told the kitchen did not open until 6pm but were served drinks quickly and our food order was taken. Expecting to wait for our food for about half an... More

Walking down the pedestrianised Getreidegasse we noticed a board advertising this place, with quite a comprehensive menu and a little map and directions. Since we were looking for a light lunch and they offered cheese and ham toasties we duly diverted. After a little confusion (turned to early) we eventually located the cafe. At first we thought we stood no... More

A small restaurant, hidden at the end of the alley near the Sternbrau. Served the best food that we have eaten in 3 weeks in Europe. We both had the salmon fillet, and it was divine. It was also competitively priced (mains under 15 Euro), with fast friendly service. Not flash in appearance by any stretch of the imagination, but... More

We ate here on two occasions during our stay in Salzburg. Lovely traditional food with great service and reasonable prices. This restaurant is hidden away, we found it by chance (Glad we did). As you walk through the shops in the old town (Griesgasse 29) look out for the Bill Board. Worth a visit.

Happened upon this quaint restaurant tucked away in a side street. Lunch in a courtyard....great service, atmosphere & food at a cost that won't break the bank. My husband had the wiener schnitzel and I had the tomato soup with cream. A must try if you are in the area.

Sat in a courtyard, warm and sheltered from the sun. Busy, but not overly so. There was seating inside too. I had the formaggio pizza, it was very tasty. My wife had chicken and wanted green beans instead of broccoli it proved to be no problem to the proprietor. My son had a pizza too and cleared his plate. The... More

an all round good food excellent service and value for money. You may need to book if you wish to sit outside but we just sat indoors as it was really nice inside too.
