in Austrian Heurigen dishes, wine and also beer. We enjoyed several cold platters with ham, sausages, cheese etc. Be aware that you are in a touristic region and the price go through the roof!

We visited this restaurant many times over the years, the last time today. You can have a quiet meal there out of season during weekdays, you can taste their haute cuisine at gala dinners, but whatever they do is always perfectly cooked, styled and complemented with perfect service. The menu is based on local ingredients and traditional recipes. Especially the... More

Although the outdoor orchard/garden patio is huge--likely holds 150 people--the trees and bushes keep each area feeling like its own small scale eatery. We walked the 1.5 km over from Durnstein on a gorgeous August evening, and watched the sky darken and the stars come out as we ate. When my wife became too cold they immediately brought over two... Our local guide brought us to this vineyard in our Danube tour. It was a place that he threw a party in. The ambience is just lovely, charming and peaceful. Definitely the highlight of our tour. The wine was as expected, really good. But what surprised us was that the dessert was one of the best that we have tried.... More

A wonderful full menu of Austrian favorites! Have been here several times and will certainly return again! Nice atmosphere from the local to the service. Great for evening or lunch - moderately expensive but certainly worth ever euro!

The restaurant is linked to a weingut which is located just in front. The food is Austrian, well prepared and presented. The wine from the winery is excellent, although not the top wine in the area. The service was excellent.

I was really impressed how big is the restaurant but it is also important to say that it is very cute and "home feeling" to its size. The fish was about an average, but all the rest of the food in very good standard and excellent service.

It is a huge and traditional Austrian restaurant. Very well trained staff, very nice atmosphere, good food and wines. My only concern is the size of the place. When we were there there were not too many guests, but I cannot imagine what happens when hundreds of guests are waiting to serve them.

Walked to this restaurant from Durnstein, through vineyards, and felt like we discovered heaven on earth. Food was an excellent version of Austrian fare, with very friendly and welcoming staff. The setting is idyllic and it was one of our best dining experiences during our trip to Austria

Set in an apple orchard, the setting is idyllic. Menu includes butter schnitzel, homemade goose liver pate and fresh fish from a tank. The wine list was exhaustive but the waiter made a few suggestions which enabled us to enjoy the local drop. Food was well presented the main meals were brought to the table in good time. However, after... More
