I stayed for two nights and everything was excellent! I was greeted warmly and shown my room which was clean and comfortable as well as nicely decorated. I had two dinners and two breakfasts and all the meals were delicious. The food was all local...and prepared perfectly, the portions were huge and the service was friendly and professional.More

We visited during a Tui excursion. All we were told about the expected meal, was a total let down when we saw the small amount on our plates, the whole table were disappointed. We have no idea of the cost of the meal as it...was part of the day out.More

This was first restaurant on our trip to Istra and it couldnt start better that it started. It was amazing! As we are traveling with kids we always look for something that would suit to them and this was very good choice. Restaurant has toys...and plenty of space for kids to play. Food was amazing. Everything home made. We had ravioli with cheese, pljukanci with pršut and šparoge and njoki with meat. Amazing!More

We ate here as part of a day trip to Rovinj and Pula. The guide explained how all the food served is made from ingredients they either grow themselves or are grown on other local farms. The food was amazing, the staff very friendly add...the atmosphere was great.More

We ate here during a daytrip to Rovinj ans Pula. The staff is very kind, the food is of great quality and flavour! All the food is made with locally grown produce. The price of the food and drinks was included in our trip so...I can't say for sure but the prices can't have been very high. They also produce and sell their own brandy in 4 flavours (herbs, lemon, honey and raspberry) which are very nice and very afordable.More

From the food to the look of the cook everything has a feeling of being a private guest in the house of the local household. That, plus the fact that 4 of us were there alone outside the busy hours. Fireplace was a final wrap.

Stopped here with a tour group, was expecting the usual fare but was pleasantly surprised. The food is all homemade and is delicious soup for starters which was delicious, followed by gnocchi with beef which is the best gnocchi I have tasted in a long...time. With mini doughnuts to finish with plentiful supply of drinks I had the white wine which was very palatable. Service was excellent and very friendly and despite of the size of the tour party the restaurant felt intimate and welcoming. I think it generally caters for the tour parties rather than walk in customers but for me it is one of the better tour party lunches I have had in a while. Definitely a bonus when booked with the excursion. Great food great service.More

We visited this agro-tourism restaurant for lunch during a tour entitled “Flavours of Istria” organised with TUI via local Croatian operators Gulliver Travel. The tour gave a flavour of the region and the restaurant a flavour of some local dishes. It seemed a bit unusual...to be getting driven by coach into a very small hamlet however they were obviously well geared up for the process. We were welcomed at the restaurant by a piper (their version who wasn’t dressed in a kilt) and offered an aperitif of the local brew which came in shots of a few flavours. For the brave only there was some grappa, said by our guide to be of a very high alcoholic content and not tested by many on our tour. The flavoured drink was perfectly fine. The restaurant can seat quite a sizeable amount of visitors however it is designed in such a fashion that we never felt as if it was catering for the masses and that we were “packaged“. There were separate areas for small tour groups which isolated us from other parties and maintained a farmhouse-like atmosphere rather than a barn! We were seated at tables of around 8 fellow travellers and fortunately for us everyone was sociable and the atmosphere relaxing. The meal consisted of soup and bread and despite reservations of the soup being an odd thing to serve with soaring temperatures outside, it was delicious. (The temperature inside the restaurant was comfortable). Next we shared a couple of platters of pasta with meat or with cheese which again were perfectly tasty - the meat one had the odd bit of grizzle however I suspect it was one of those dishes where everything is put into a pot and cooked for hours - chunks of tender meat in general. To finish off we were served mini doughnuts covered in sugar which despite the coating didn’t taste too sweet. To help the food down locally produced red and white wine were served and having tried both I was satisfied that I would happily buy a bottle if offered - it wasn’t. Service throughout was quiet and efficient - plates arrived and left in a smooth manner so we hardly noticed. Meal completed we were offered a token gift of Istria (a little wooden item) in exchange for our tour receipt - not quite sure why but we also experienced something similar at our hotel during our holiday as part of a prize draw. The cost of the meal was inclusive in our trip. After viewing the temperamental donkey tied up outside and taking a few photos it was time to hit the trail for our next stop. Overall it was a very enjoyable visit, unhurried and well organised to avoid giving us a feeling we’d just been processed so full marks to all involved for achieving this result - a pleasant change from some similar operations we've experienced elsewhere.More
