Pleasant surprise in the country just south of Sanson. Lovely "woodshed" decor complimented by good menu and county friendliness. Ours was a travel stop for brunch.

Having driven past so many times we finally called in. What a great place to stop on a journey. Well designed with great place for children to play and lovely atmosphere for a good family catch up. Sausage rolls were delicious. Good clean toilets

Thank you Alipa! Yes the flies, we have had an uncharacteristically long hot summer and the flies have multiplied significantly, ordinarily we get patches of colder weather from the South that keeps these under control, thanks again.

We were en route from Taupo to Wellington so we came across this place for lunch. Excellent pork pulled sandwich and at reasonable prices. Lovely setting and obviously popular the locals. Great display of cakes as well but unfortunately we didn’t have the room.

An interesting old barn, ample parking. Friendly service, a good selection of menu items, mostly made on the premises. Generous servings, realistic prices, everything consistently good. Worth the detour if you're passing this way.
