As the title says really, it was decent but definitely way over priced for what it was. We went for dinner and 6 very small tapas portions between two, one glass of wine and a beer was the equivalent of over £100 GBP. If this...More

This restaurant was a recommended stop from a colleague, otherwise we would have gone to Fish Market like all of the tourist books recommend. I can't speak to how Tapas Barinn compares to Fish Market as we did not eat at both but we had...More

We tried this restaurant on the advice of a WOW airline stewardess. She was spot on. We have had tapas in Barcelona and Madrid and have to say that the menu here was so large and offers food that is not found outside of Iceland,...More

Hi! I split it with my husband and we were very full so I would say you might be OK with four people. They were very nice so I think they would be accommodating.

TapasBarinn is an extremely lively restaurant where Spanish tapas tradition meets the freshest Icelandic ingredients. It is located in a cellar at Vesturgata 3 in Reykjavik's central. The menu at TapasBarinn offers over 50 different meat, fish and vegetable dishes so you can take your time and experiment various flavour combinations. A must try is the Icelandic gourmet feast which is a great way to taste the best of Icelandic produce in one meal. The restaurant has been open since the year 2000 and has become a local favourite. It has the only kitchen in Reykjavík that is open 23:30 on weekdays and 01:00 on weekends. The breezy atmosphere and the Spanish effects in the decorations make TapasBarinn ideal for an enjoyable evening, a true ray of sunshine in downtown Reykjavík.
