Very pleasant service and an excellent location which goes in its favour but all in all not to be repeated. Fish soup around Reykjavik has a certain reputation, to combine it with white chocolate and "sea candies" is seriously not a good idea - my fault for ordering. Avoid.

Dinner at Geysir Bistro was included in the tour I took. I don't know what the typical pricing is, but based on the atmosphere and quality of food, I'd guess it's a pretty upscale restaurant. Not sure what the regular menu consists of, but for our special dinner, we were offered a choice of lamb kebabs, wienerschnitzel, chicken pasta or... More

Amazing food with nice ambiance! We ordered the Icelandic starter with the fermented shark and we loved it. The other fish were really nice too. For the main dish I got the lobster and my husband got the cod. Very nicely prepared and with good ingredients. Expensive as everything else, in Iceland but worth it.

This pretty bistro is just off the main square, we ate early and it was quite. The staff friendly and the food amazing, the most tender lamb we have ever eaten - anywhere, ever.

Having earlier experienced the ultimate in Icelandic meat soup (Perlan - try it!), I was after an outstanding fish soup and, after a brief search in the central area, we spotted the menu at this place. "Fish soup made with white chocolate" it said. "I have just GOT to try this" I said. A smart looking restaurant. We enquired "A... More

We had just arrived in Iceland and wanted a reasonably priced meal without hawking around the city. Pasta and a burger later we were well satisfied .

I would recommend stopping here for lunch. The food was good and service was friendly. Great location. When considering all the meals we had on our visit to Iceland this was one of the best values. Burger was very good.

Nice place. Good food, nice atmosphere. Seems more of a family restaurant. Brightly lit, not much late night atmosphere but, all in all, a very good restaurant for seafood, beef and lamb. My friend had a mink whale burger. He loved it. I tasted it - texture of steak with a more salty tang. But very good. Food was right... More

You can get some excellent photos there. You can go shopping next door and have a few choices of food to eat. Soup, a smaller restaurant with many choices of food and drinks, and there is a really big shopping area to get Christmas and souvenirs and decorations.
