Can't go wrong with the breakfast here. Small menu but they know what they are doing. Friendly staff & prompt service.

This attractive bistro, located on the main shopping street, offers a variety of delicious local dishes, including salmon, whale meat, and lamb dishes. The fresh-caught salmon is out of this world! Even my husband, a confirmed meat man who avoids fish, ordered the salmon several...More

We just arrived in Iceland and stopped for a bite to eat at Solon Bistro. The service was outstanding, and Juan gave us great tips to explore the local area. The food was good and the atmosphere fun. Highly recommend.

There was nothing special about Solon with fairly standard food catering for the passing trade and a somewhat dark atmosphere. Service was as expected and pricing was a little high for waht was offered. There are better places around.

My wife had the chicken caesar salad, while I got the fish and chips. We both enjoyed our meals. The fish was locally caught and delicious, and I got a generous helping of both fish and fries. While the prices were Icelandic (a bit high),...More

Near the downtown government square stands building that housed the only pharmacy in the city for decades. It is now one of the best restaurants in town. The decor remains and the food is healthy

On a windy cold morning we popped in as we waited for our apartment to be ready. I had the French toast with a side of bacon, which was huge. Hubby had bacon and eggs...tasty. It was good value and delicious

We were there may 31 and had a fine meal BUT I lost a hearing aid that day. It is very small and has 2 parts, 1 flesh colored amd the other part clear, connected by a thin tube. If you found it please let me know and we will figure out how to get it home. There will be a reward.. I am hoping tho the chances aren't great. Thank you for your time.
