Great menu, large variety of burgers. Also have food other than burgers on the menu. I had the lamb burger which was gorgeous. My partner had the president burger which he really enjoyed. Both burgers were cooked perfectly. Both the regular fries and sweet potato fries were really delicious and cooked perfectly. Food came quickly (but not in a worryingly... More

This restaurant is summed up for me by the fact that there's a display of how many Icelanders there are up on the wall, and when one is born the birth is announced on the tannoy, the display is updated and everyone stops eating and applauds! Only in Reykjavik. Add to this excellent burgers, lovely service and - relative to... More

The burgers were very fresh and FULL of flavour. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. There was a birthday table next to us and they got free ice cream which was nice :) 2 burgers, sides, a glass of wine and a beer came to ISK 7950 or there abouts, which I don't think... More

Hamborgarafabrikkan, or Hamburger Factory was coveniently situated around the corner from the Fosshotel Reykjavik where I was staying, and opposite Hofdi House. It's essentially a local gourmet burger outlet with a menu featuring fifteen burger options as well as seven or so non burger meals. There's also a good value kids menu. Decor was bright (think TGI Fridays) and the... More

We went here as the Chinese restaurant we wanted to go to closed at 9pm. So only went on the off chance it was serving food! When we arrived we were shown to table and then told to move as that table was not cleaned. We then got given our menus and a waitress came and asked if we would... More

We were booked in here with a school trip - total 25 people. Excellent service - drinks and food arrived very quickly once ordered. Staff were friendly . We too witnessed an increase in the population of Iceland although we didn't understand at first what was happening! Announcement in Icelandic and a round of applause from customers.

Although we hadn't booked, staff were accommodating and we waited around 15 minutes for a table. Staff were very friendly and service was speedy. There is a large selection of burgers and sauces, we tried the Japanese chilli mayo which had an awesome kick to it. The atmosphere was lively and we were lucky enough to catch the population of... I ate there 2 weeks ago on the last night of an Iceland vacation, mostly because the restaurant was within walking distance from my hotel and had good reviews. The prices are, like everything else in Iceland, of course inflated, BUT there was a really good selection of burgers (like 16), and I tried was delicious. The buns were especially... More

We loved the food so much we ate there 2 times in a row! The burgers were cooked perfectly and the desserts were divine! They have an extensive selection of burgers and other items.

Amazing burgers with all sorts of options. Nice touch you can post the menu to people with a little message and they will cover the postage. Went on my birthday and I'm not too old to have me some birthday ice cream! Didn't need a starter, the main was more then enough. I wish I could go back again but... More

Description
PLEASED TO "MEAT" YOU Ok. You're in Iceland. Probably not for the first time. Not something you do every year, right? You will probably bathe in the Blue Lagoon and take a road trip to Gullfoss and Geysir. That's all well and good. But neither is something you eat. That's why we have 15 brilliant and creative hamburgers at the Hamburger Factory. And they are all perfectly square. Made from 100% fresh high-quality ingredients, directly from Icelandic nature. The Hamburger Factory is Iceland's most innovative gourmet burger chain. Packed with burger-craving customers since its opening in 2010, among the regulars is Iceland's best known fisherman, Eric Clapton. We have three wonderful restaurants in Iceland. The mothership opened in 2010 on the groundfloor of the highest tower in Reykjavík, right opposite Höfdi house. Our second one is in Akureyri, the capital of the north. It opened in 2013 on the groundfloor of the historic Hotel Kea in the heart of the town's center. The third one opened in the spring of 2014 in Icelander's favorite shopping mall, Kringlan. Be sure to stop by before you leave. You will love it. And we will love you back. BE SQUARE AND BE THERE!
