We decided to come here because of the fermented shark, but didn't order it as we wouldn't know if it would upset our stomachs. The staff was super friendly and it's awesome that water is free. I know, you can drink it out of the tap. Anyway, we ordered the puffin in a jar, smoked salmon in a jar, whale... More

We came here on our first night in Reykjavik and it was the best meal we had our entire trip. We got to try a lot of traditional Icelandic meats, like the fermented shark, puffin, dried cod, and lamb shank, along with langoustine and even a reindeer burger. Everything was delicious and the price was great (for Iceland). The staff... More

We went here to try traditional Icelandic food; shark, whale and puffin. Hard to say if it was fresh as we've never had it before but I'd hazard a guess that the shark was not. The lamb was excellent and the fish and chips were alright but nothing special. What we did like was the atmosphere; laid back and enjoyable.... More

We chose to come back to this restaurant after visiting it on a food tour, we had decided to go for a proper evening meal. I had the fish of the day which I got told was salted salmon, it was actually salted cod, but even so it was fantastic!! My wife went for the chicken burger, it was just... More

The atmosphere was amazing when walking in, lots of different people and staff were very friendly. Got sitted quickly, The menu has a range of different foods on it. I tried the shark which was very nice especially after hearing the stories of how they prepare the shark. Also has the reindeer burger for a main which was lovely, meat... More

We went in here for beers in Happy Hour and loved the atmosphere so stayed to eat. Excellent fish & chips, not cheap but not too bad for Iceland. We returned a few days later and had the same meal.

I have to admit that they have excellent food, lamb shank, fin whale, fish.... very tasty. but I had very bad experience here. I was with 14 people group, reserved table a month advance, and when we arrive, they only give us very tiny tables, one of our guy has to squeeze with the piano player! Wait for 1 hour... More

Our group tried a little of everything and none of us were disappointed. The food is good and so is the service. The atmosphere is also very Icelandic and cute.
