It is interesting how a hot dog trailer became a tourist attraction. It is very good indeed and very pleasant to just seat down and watch people passing by while you enjoy a Reykjavík’s( world’s) best hot dog. Don’t forget to take a selfie next...More

Very tasty hot dog, specially with the crunchy onions! A must stop If you ever go to Reykjavík. It cost me around £3.30. Worth it.

Great hot dogs make sure you order one with everything. We went here as it was recommended to us by others and it was definitely the cheapest thing we ate while we wete in Reykjavik.

My wife discovered this place on TripAdvisor and we decided to give it a try. First of all, 3 hot dogs cost us less than 1500 ISK, so, relatively speaking, it's inexpensive. The lamb hot dogs, if you get them with the works, come with...More

It took a long time to find this snack truck! Nothing exceptional taste wise but the staff were friendly and it was good to have something warm to eat after wandering around town in the evening.

Baejarins beztu pylsur (English: The best hot dog in town) often shortened to simply "Baejarins beztu", is a popular hot dog stand in central Reykjavik, Iceland. In August 2006, the British newspaper The Guardian selected Baejarins beztu as the best hot dog stand in Europe. The majority of Icelanders have eaten at Baejarins beztu. It's downtown near the harbor and has been open since 1937. Foreign visitors are often brought to the stand to introduce them to the hot dogs there, which are often called "the Icelandic national food." Among famous people who have eaten at Baejarins beztu are Bill Clinton, former president of the United States, and James Hetfield, vocalist of the popular heavy metal band Metallica. A hot dog condiments include ketchup, sweet mustard, fried onion, raw onion and remoladi, a mayonnaise-based sauce with sweet relish. Hot dogs are often ordered with "the works," i.E., All condiments, or in Icelandic "eina med ollu".
