We both went for a romantic dinner on the way from NYC to London on a stopover in Reykjavik. I like my 1 star Michelin star restraints in the uk so have some experience of fun quality dining.... I'm not sure that this chef had....More

Atmosphere was nice, but the quality of the dinner was just so-so, and the price was quite high. There are much better fish restaurants in Reykjavik.

Great autentic and rustique interior and cosy atmosphere for a romantic dinner. The 5 course dinner was absolutely good but not excellent, because it didn't give us the autentic "experience of Iceland" like it was promised. Perhaps a bit more history or background and even...More

We happened to go in on a fairly quiet night (a Monday) and had excellent service from the charming staff. The food is extremely well presented and was very delicious. We also had a very good Sicilian white wine (£50 a bottle!) which was very...More

I came here for a birthday dinner and the service was impeccable. They made our group feel special and even brought a complementary glass of champagne for the birthday girl. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was also on par with the taste...More

We went here for our last night - it was recommended by our hotel. We had really excellent food here and the chef I believe is likely to get various awards for his food. Really fresh food. We had a cocktail, all 3 courses and...More

We ate here twice while visiting Reykjavik. The lamb shoulder was outstanding. The meat could be cut with a fork. Very tender. Nice quiet place but it does fill up quickly as the evening progresses. The wait staff was timely and knowledgable. A great experience.

Amazing food, great service. Clearly the fish was super tasty, presentation was flawless. My only critertism is I have a nut allergy and they brought a sampler out of the kitchen that contained pistachio nuts.

Chance visit and had a local tasting menu of well presented dishes; good flavours and very welcoming reception and service (having had Northern Lights tour cancelled late on!) Cosy atmosphere too.

This is seven months late, but for those wondering, 1) Yes, they have a children's menu 2) We were seated next to a well-behaved 4 or 5 year-old at dinner time - no issues whatsoever.
