Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So....high price equals high value of food right? Not quite, the lamb was very tough to eat and the turkey was dry. Eggs Benedict amazing and so were the desserts. This is not our first time having brunch there but like last time the meat...was not up to par with the rather high price of food in mind. Still, its an experience for sure...........More

Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff, amazing food. I had the lamb, my wife had the beef. Both were totally amazing. Would definitely visit again.

Between the terrible service, part of my order being incorrect, and bland poorly cooked risotto I will never be returning to this place and don’t recommend anyone else to either

This is the in-house restaurant to the Hilton Reykjavík Nordica, and like most good hotel restaurants, you can expect the food to be high quality but a little bit pricier than nearby independents. There’s a good selection of traditional fare (in Iceland, you’re looking at...fish, lamb or vegetarian… :-) ), but there’s a couple of other more complex dishes as well. I wound up eating from the bar menu a couple of times, and the fish and chips were a game changer. You simply haven’t had fish and chips until you’ve eaten it when they cooked fresh, not frozen, cod. The price was ridiculous (4,690 króna or about £28 for one meal no drinks) but once you’ve looked in other restaurants, you get over the shock and just get on with it. It is a little bit more than independents, but not too much. The staff are friendly and attentive and the meal was quick to arrive. The decor is lovely and you get a good sense of warmth and efficiency. I would definitely go back if I’m in the area again.More

I was so excited to come here and try beef wellington (my favorite dish and so hard to find in restaurants). It was absolutely fantastic, cooked exactly like I wanted and the service was great. The restaurant is in a hotel and there was plenty...of parking out front. Easy to make reservations online in advance. Would recommend for the wellington.More

Comfortable restaurant with a interesting menu. I had the beef tenderloin which was tasty, food was beautifully presented. Splashed out on some wine as this trip has mostly been teetotal due to the price of alcohol. Wine was delicious. Friendly service with just the right...amount of attention.More

Very yummy food and great service! There is a prix fixe menu that looked amazing and a beef bourgeon that requires 24 hour notice - but everything else is ala carte and you won’t be disappointed.

We stayed at the Nordica for 6 nights (snowed in for 2) and had breakfast every morning, Christmas buffet and then also eats in the Vox Bar. Breakfast was overwhelming with so many choices. Salad for Breakfast - yummy. Too many meats and cheese to...chose from. Soft-boiled, hardboiled, fried, over-medium, Skyr (and yogurt), cereal, porridge, beans, sausage, bacon et al. Smoke duck tastes like an ashtray - had it at several other places and that is just the way it tastes - so ya gotta try it. Christmas buffet was maybe $50 US each but well worth it with family. Great selection in a beautiful setting with great service. Vox bar was perfect for lunch and snacks - great burgers and salads. I would definitely recommend especially when staying at the hotel.More

This restaurant was located in our hotel. They serve a great buffet breakfast every morning with all kinds of hot and cold foods. Fruits and juices, baked goods, cereals, sliced meats and cheeses as well as eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, grilled tomatoes and potatoes. The...dinner menu was pretty upscale and all the dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. Every evening after sightseeing we’d stop at the outer bar for a drink or a light bite when we didn’t want a full dinner. They offered some delicious appetizers, salads and burgers. The servers were all very friendly and happy to recommend a cocktail or a delicious appetizer to go with your drink.More

We ate and drank in the bar here several times on our recent stay at the Hilton Nordica. Prices are not cheap - but this is Iceland! Staff are really friednly and the place had a very good ambiance.

This restaurant is inside the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica. We had their fresh cod and it was outstanding. Just wish our cruise line had fish like this and we could get it at home. Fabulous!
