The fish was very tasty and the selfish soup was very good. But the peculiarity of their menu is the smoked puffin. I tried that and honestly was very good.

We enjoyed our meal at Salka restaurant. The service was friendly and the food was very good. Eating out is not cheap anywhere in Iceland and the discount made the meal much more palatable.

The breadsticks with garlic, melted cheese, and jalapeños were better than almost any breadsticks I've had in the US. And oh Lord, the peppermint hot chocolate was so rich - the best for ending a rainy wet day.

After the 9am whales and puffin trip it was good to retreat to the cosy Salka restaurant just near the dock. The chips were a bit dry so I would recommend that you get a dipping sauce to go with them - but there are...More

Local friends from Reykjavík of three just had a fantastic time at this place. We had been driving the whole circle from Reykjavik and starting on the south coast. We ended in a cabin near Kópasker. We walked around other restaurants in Húsavík and didn´t...More

Yeah, I know, this is a seafood restaurant in a fishing village. But not everyone eats seafood. I made the mistake of ordering the margarita pizza, thinking it'd be impossible to botch up. I was wrong. It was akin to frozen pizza - tasteless crust...More

Good food, food service. Tasty fish and even kids food was good. Not cheap but great place to go to while waiting for your whale watching tour.

We visited Husavik for its whale watching and came across this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. Especially the prawns with lobster risotto. The prices are very affordable (considering it is Iceland). Thumbs up!

Yes we do. There is a Tofu dish and we make vegetable patties which are served with rice and different sorts of vegetables. Then there are different soups, depending on the daily offer like vegan tomato soup or mushroom soup.

Description
Cozy family owned restaurant offering steaks, seafood, pizza, pasta or burgers made with passion. Our food is not off the shelf, but homemade from scratch. We offer typical icelandic dishes like lamb and cod or catfish in a fresh, modern style. In the summer time it is great to sit outside in our plaza and enjoy delicious food, snacks and cocktails. Housed in one of the oldest buildings in Husavik and in the city centre you can't miss us.
