The food was really good: can recommend bear, blinis and steak Novgorod (it was so soft that you could cut it with a spoon). I would have given 4/5 points, but: narrow vodka selection, weak espresso and service without smiles. There was only one wine from ex-Russia, Georgian Saperavi, that is worth a try.

We went to Bellevue for a dinner with colleagues. The environment was warm and inviting. We had the Russian starter plate with about 10 specialty appetizers which were very tasty. Two of us had the stroganoff which was the best I ever had, and one colleague ordered the beetroot steak which he said was fantastic. Unfortunately we were too full... More

This place is probably the first Russian type among 3 - 4 other Russian type of restaurants in Helsinki. Today I would say that Bellevue is the best in town in this category. Ma favorite is their Stroganoff which is really good and not so expensive. Ideal place for romantic purposes.

We came here for dinner. The place is nice and well kept, seems to be in another era, but more you stay in this restaurant and more you think: "why didn't they do it a bit better?". Let's talk about food. Food was good and very tasty, everyone of us got different things and we were all satisfied. At the... More

Friendly service, good traditional Russian cuisine and, yes, the Chicken Kiev is good. Wander past the Russian Orthodox cathedral on the way back to complete the evening.

This hidden gem of a restaurant has been in the business of serving excellent Russian food for 100 years in 2017 - as old as Finland itself as an independent country. The cuisine is traditional Russian and the style is old-worldly. We found the shashlik and the pheasant excellent and served with a smooth Georgian red wine, it was a... More

When you feel like tasting a piece of history... Go to Bellevue, take the big tasting platter to share and order some vodka! If you're still hungry after the tasting platter, order some blinis. Strong recommendations.

Bellevue is the oldest Russian restaurant in Helsinki, founded in 1917 and has ever since been known for its good food and unique atmosphere. The old and valuable paintings, chairs and chandeliers take you back to the days of the Czar. The authentic Russian atmosphere is completed by classical Russian music in the background. Also the menu brings old Russian cuisine to you. The chefs are flexible and highly professional, so if one of your favorite classic Russian dishes is not on the menu, it is always worthwhile asking for it. There are also three private rooms in the restaurants.
