It was through a recommendation in a guide book that we tried to make a reservation approx. 2 weeks before going to Helsinki. We received a confirmation for the waiting list and then one day before the final ok. The food is very nice, very creative and also unusual in its combinations. For slow food lovers it's fabulous. Go there... More

We ate there on a saturday evening. The food was amazing, though not the best Michelin-guide food i have had. What surprised us most was the laid back mood of the restaurant, which fitted the style of the food very well. Best dish was probably the 'Arctic char tartar', though the desert with juniper ice cream is a strong contender.

From the first call to make a reservation to the farewell when leaving, this place was a wonderful surprise. As a Michelin started place, it is often difficult to get a reservation, but luckily A place was available. The owner answered the phone, and though I could hear a busy place in the background he was able to take the... More

This more than very good restaurant a short walk south of the city center has a well deserved Michelin star. We had the 7 course Chefs menu and the 4 glass wine menu. Service was competent, friendly and quick. The food is original and to a high degree local with some special twists. Most of the food-wine matches were excellent.... More

We had seven course menu a'la Sasu Laukkonen with well selected wines. There was a surprise after suprise during the menu! e.g Potato soup with caviar. Have you ever tasted juniper icecream with blacberries sauce? You should! Thanks Sasu and Chef & Sommelier team!

We had the seven course menu with the wine package. Wonderful tastes created to a big degree from local forrest based ingredients. Symphony of tastes with very friendly service. Both Chef and Sommelier had time to tell about the food and wines. Go and try it yourself.

This is a small and cosy fine dining restaurant which has had one Michelin star for some years. We had a set six course dinner. The chef Sasu is known for "experimenting" with tastes of different kinds from the nature which you certainly don't get in many places. Most stuff is from local small producers. He was also very good... More

Wonderful restaurant, showcasing modern Finnish cuisine, all cooked from locally sourced ingredients. Quite good value for money, and very laid back atmosphere for a Michelin-stared restaurant. Excellent wine list a well! One of the best places to eat in Helsinki, definitely!

This restaurant is mind blowing! From the service to the food to the simple clean room, no wonder it's a Michelin Star. The chef spent time with each and every table, taking the time to know why we were there. The sommelier spent time understanding our palettes and how he could surprise us. The food was spectacular. Local for everything... More

I will not be sharing photos as the visual experience of the dishes is part of the overall experience. The meal is satisfying on all levels they bake their own bread which is delicious.
