Comfortable and cosy. We had Wiener schnitzel which was delicious, perfect food for a happy but cold visit to the zoo. Many other things on the menu to tempt us back. Hope next visit is as good.

Zinnkeller is not fancy nor trendy, it is reliable and what you see is what you get. The menu is German with stuff like Wienerschnitzel, Bratwurst, Eisbein and Sauerkraut. This time I had the "Schlachtplatte" that combines sauerkraut, bratwurst, ham and ribs. It is heavy, it is greasy but it is exactly what is proposes to be. A good selection... More
Here you'll find truly German, tasty and heavy food that goes remarkably well with bier. Fish fillet fried with bacon was great and the potato salad had a nice touch. A "pizza" kind of flat bread with vegetable topping is a good appetizer for a whole party, salmon and bacon toppings also available. In our party of 10 persons only... More
Well, well, well. This restaurant has something special. It begins whit the feeling when you come in from the door. Are you in Germany or Finland? Really good atmosphere and a great staff. Now t the food. They have a quite nice menu. Not too much and just in off. We had so much German delicates to eat and the... More
This restaurant is best suited for those who love greasy food. Especially greasy german food. I have long searched for a place that actually delivers what it promotes. Slow food? Yes, and thirsty as we were after Helsinki City museum walk, it took a bit too long to get a pint of beer... But the food was great - I had flatfish fried with bacon - and my friends didn't complain either. The four of us enjoyed the overall atmosphere, the young waitress did a good job, so... More
A restaurant where not only the menu but the staff, too is German makes this restaurant really unique in Helsinki. If you love good German food (and beer) you will love the Zinnkeller in this charming neighborhood.
Came 4 friends for launch, even though the place was rather empty they insisted in putting us in worst table there is. The mane consisted of buffet or 4 different dish's. The buffet salad were awful straight out of a can, the mash potato wany good(what's so hard?!), Rice with vegetable was disgusting(have never used this word to describe food-no... More
