Suprisingly good Greek restaurant. Atmosphere has been great with welcoming and friendly staff. Even it was rather busy staff managed to find a time to explain the menu and they never seem botherrd with all the fuss. Order was taken quikly, food served in time . Cold meat/ fish platter was to die for. Selection of mains( mix grill) to... More

Went here with some friends for a laid back dinner. The place was packed with people so that tends to be a good sign. We had some mezzes to share between ourself and I had the fish kebab. The value for money is good but the quality of the food and service is a bit uneven but I would return.... More

Had a pleasant meal here on a Friday night. Chose the moussaka and the tiramisu. Both could have been better but, nonetheless left happy.

Stumbled across by chance and left feeling full and satisfied. Friendly service and a lovely wine provided the basis for a great meal. The homemade tiramisu was less rich than those I've had in the past, meaning pudding didn't leave me with the sickly full feeling. Crispy potatoes for sharing on the table was a welcomed surprise.

Because it was Monday we got to choose table. It wasn't a special occasion or anything, we just wanted to eat, so we ordered the main course right away. What's really nice about Faros is that you always get bread and a feta cheese kind of dip to enjoy while waiting for your food. I was however disappointed with the... More

I have been here several times and have never been disappointed! Service is quick and always with a smile! The food tastes great and there is a wide selection of beverages. It's usually pretty full so I'd recommend to reserve a table.

We have been here many times and the food has been amazing every time. Have been there with my husband, with family and with friends, it works everytime! I have also recommended it a couple of times when friends asked me where to eat in Stockholm, it is constantly good...

Quiet atmosphere, nobody was stressed but still our food was served quickly. Salad was served together with the main course, I would have expected it as a starter. Meals were very tasty, we really enjoyed it. We would go there again.

Terrible food and terrible service. The waiters were not helpful when we asked for gluten free and vegetarian food. The food tasted like it had been pre-made the day before or in the morning and then heated just before served. It was brown and bland and we could not finish it. Not even the beetroots were fresh but tasted like... More

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
