We bumped in this place by occasion. A group of 10 Italians in Stockholm for business purposes. The food quality was really outstanding. Nice atmosphere. The owner and waitress spoke Italians too. Impossible to say it was cheap considering Sweden price standards for food but, I would say, good value for money. I recommended many times to known people coming... More

The food was good, but we waited over an hour to get our food and the chairs were less than comfortable. Recommended if you are not in a hurry and don't have back aches ;)

We were interested in Italian after a week a Scandinavian food and this place was recommended by our hotel. The Italian places on the main shopping street in Gamla Stan were described as "pretty, but the food, not so much," but this one, one block off the main street was recommended with enthusiasm. The atmosphere was warm and romantic, though... More

Small restaurant in Gamla Stan has an interesting approach. There are quite a few small dishes that can make up your meal but you can also add some pasta or other mains. Service was very good. Wine list was interesting and our wine was excellent. Recommended

This is my second visit. I had wild boar cutlets with Nordic flavor of lingonberries. Still one of my favorite restaurants in Gamla Stan in Stockholm.

I took my wife here for Valentine's Day for a nice romantic dinner with tapas. Let's start with the good parts. Atmosphere and service was excellent! Nice cozy place in old town of Stockholm and since it was Valentine they even gave my wife a rose after we had paid and were about to leave which was a very nice... More

This family run restaurant in the old town has a full menu from antipasti to dolce, but the antipasti are their speciality. Great variety, all home made, local specialities from differ t parts of Italy . We decided to only have antipasti, 3-4 each , and then straight for dessert. Loved it! The wine list is short but very good... More

Really great food! The service was also good, and there where a lot of free spaces in the restaurant.

Pasta is al dente and starters a fresh with strong flavors and interesting combinations. Nice house wine. Going to a italian I did miss exceptional bread and a good olive oil a side, we had some poor sliced baguettes. A bit pricy for pasta.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
