A little cafe with good food and good service. As our half an hour experience, there were always people came in to have some cakes, tea or coffee. Proving that the cafe have a very good turn over. PS: if you are a tea lover please try their fresh mint tea.

We stopped here for quick dessert in a really cold day. The atmosphere inside is really warm and cozy and the staff is really kind and gentle.we had an apple strudel with vanilla on top and a small peanuts cafe. The desserts were really tasty and soft. I would highly recommend this place.

Great little place in Gamla Stan. Wonderful quiche and very good hot chocolate. Reasonably priced and good portions.

Really excellent food , nicely presented and served with a smile . I ordered a mint tea which came in a huge mug full of mint plus other fruits - very unusual and tasty and refreshing . Its no wonder that it was so busy

A variety of sandwiches and simple foods but mostly great sweets. I found apfelstrudel which was soo good. Very service minded staff and flexible when one of my daughters had a specific request regarding a sandwich.

Fantastic soup, quiches and service - we will be coming back for cake! Near all the attractions in the old town. Would definitely recommend for a light lunch.

Fantastic service! You need to try the juice and mynt tea which is great. It's a very cosy place, especially during the winter time. Don't miss it out when visiting Stockholm.

Recently we went to visit Stockholm and started looking for a place who was cute, warm, family friendly and different. For our surprise, this was the perfect choice in the old town. The hot chocolate was the best. I hope that they continue making amazing and different things because it's kind of boring where all the coffee shops sale the... More

Its a nice little cozy cafe in Gamla Stan, Stockholm. Orange juice is a must try there. If you walk from central station towards Gamla Stan, its right at the entry of it with lot of oranges to be seen from the window.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
