It is a small restaurant in the Old Town. We ate very good food for lunch. We ordered salmon and swedish meatballs. Very friendly staff.

My friends and I visited on our first night in Stockholm. We had to wait a little while for a table - but the wait was worth it! We all ordered the traditional meatballs - which were delicious. The portion size was very good too. The staff were also incredibly friendly. I would definitely visit again given the opportunity!

A small place with cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Beet salad with goat cheese is absolutely perfect, and the portion is the size of a main dish. Mashed potatoes are creamy, seafood soup delicious and not fishy at all! Staff is friendly, and the place didn't seem touristy despite the location.

This place is run by a family and the care and attention that the guest feel is great! The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, the food follows the season in a very price worthy level. Its a must to go for a drink, a lunch or a dinner when visiting the old town!

Situated in Gamla Stan, this authentic Swedish restaurant presents a tiny space with big flavors. Since I am officially addicted, I had Swedish Meatballs with Lingonberries and Henry had the Swedish Sausage dish. The meal and wine was yummy. I recommend!

We visited with our eight year old daughter and weren't disappointed. We weren't able to book but they quickly found us a table and we settled in for a very cosy supper. They were more than happy to do a small portion for our daughter although given the size of the portions is very generous in the first place, she... More

This nice restaurant represents good value for money on Gamla Stan. Our waiter was a pleasant man who served us promptly. We did not need to reserve a seat, and were able to get a seat for 2 at 6pm easily. The apple pie is a good option for dessert

My sister & I were wrapping up our last day in Stockholm, and after a day of sightseeing & the Vasa Museum, we were starving. We decided to ditch the high end Kungstragarden district & head over to Gamla Strand to find dinner. The Gastrabud was the second place we looked at, and we knew by window shopping the meatballs,... Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
