This is definitely a place for the tourists but actually does quite good food. Not a place to go for a quiet romantic meal, but if there's a group of you and fancy some beer and food then you can't go too far wrong with...More

This place is not a place for someone that wants a calm dinner with nice conversation. From the moment you step inside its an adventure back to the time of vikings! They will blow the horn and announce your name and were you come from...More

What can you say with a welcome like that?? All guest are introduced to the whole restaurant, you don't have individual tables an quiet chit chat!! All guests sit on long benches and enjoy each other's company. You enter as a stranger, and leave with...More

Our visit to this restaurant was not like any other restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice and you get to meet people from all over. There is a real viking theme throughout from cutlery to food to music.

WE loved this place so much we went back twice. Staff very friendly and great with kids. Very informative on Viking info. Dishes were extremely filling. They do have kids portions

Found this place by chance on TripAdvisor and was so excited we did. It isn't the greatest food but the atmosphere and the entertainment is one of a kind. Our kids loved it and it was really neat to be announced when you enter the...More

Aifur's viking theme provides for an amusing dining experience for tourists and locals alike. Bills tend to be a bit on the pricey side (even by Stockholm standards), but the hit to the wallet is somewhat emeliorated by the presence of live musicians singing along...More

Just came back from dinner at this place and could not wait to write my assessment. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing... service and food are great and prices are extremely reasonable.

When we got in we thought we were in a mad house! quite the contrary! great staff-vikings welcoming you and shouting like real vikings, good food and crazy crowd! what a remarkable evening, my Italian boyfriend was shocked to say the least! great place!

A vicking dinner. The scenery. The staff. The music. Everybody will know your name when you arrive. You will have a lot of fun. But above all that the food is the best you can imagine. We tried the mussels, the deer and the stake....More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)

I don't really know, but you can check in their website. They accept reservations and it's good to make one 'cause the restaurant is usually full.

Do you have a kids menu or is it must sized down portions of the main menu?

I didn't see a children's menu, and to be honest with the atmosphere of the bar I am not sure it would be suitable for children, it can get a little rowdy.
Are reservations mandatory? Thanks in advance!

I would make a reservation . When we went we had made reservation 3 weeks in advance and there were only a few spaces left. This was for a Saturday mind. Hope you'll enjoy 😊

Aifur Restaurant & Bar is named after the legendary Viking ship Aifur and the result of 15 years of accumulated knowledge and research about life, food and culture from the years 700-1100, merged with skilled and knowledgeable staff in a great location in ”Gamla stan”, the Old Town of Stockholm.

Our kitchen is historical informed and for those who are just thirsty there is a seperate bar area.
