We ate their classic seafood Christmas table. The Christmas table was plentiful and replenished quickly. The seafood available was lobster, shrimp, lobster and oysters. Lobster was very good as were the prawns. The oysters were small. In addition to this, there were herring and salmon as well as egg halves and various sauces. There was a lot of cheese, Västerbotten pie, lobster soup and an abundant dessert table. We also had window tables. It was good service

We had what I’ll call a business lunch. Cheap, fast, easy. Choice of 5 mains, w/ salad bar, water, and coffee. Wife had chicken, I had salmon. Both were fine, chicken had a great sauce. Salad bar was small but workable. Both mains were out before we got back with our salads, which to me says they were sitting under a warmer ready to go in anticipation of orders, not made to order. The Bearnaise sauce with the salmon was thick and gloppy. The sauce with the chicken was quite good. Overall average food, but fast and cheap.

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner during our stay at Hotel Reisen. The breakfast is fantastic, both quality and choice. One of the most complete breakfast buffet’s I’ve ever had. Plus excellent latte. The lunch was quite good, but the menu is limited. The dinner was also very good. This is a Swedish menu. The service at all the meals was excellent.

Had the christmas seafood buffet with with lobster / langoustine / schrimps and oysters. Plus different salmons and heerings. Not impressed over the flavours at all on any dish. But service was top notch

Me and my family visited the Reisen seafood buffet and was very disappointed.
The service was nice but the buffet terrible. The lobster tasted like a salty towel and
the seafood seemed to be of the lowest quality.
If we would have payed the third of the price it would have been acceptable.
So pls follow this advice and choose another option, there are lots of Christmas buffets so
don’t let this one spoil your spirit.

We had two breakfasts here while staying at the hotel. Both times were excellent.
The friendly waiter will direct you to the table and bring coffee to the table.
The food selection was good and of high quality.

Lovely hotel, perfect location on the front of the old town. Easy walk to the commercial centre and easy scenic walk to Sodermalm. 5 minutes to ferry landing for Abba Museum, Vassamuseum and Djurgarden.
Lovely comfortable beds, tastefully decorated (standard) room. Bathroom was tiny but well designed with large, good shower.
Staff were very friendly, food was excellent quality. We had a perfect stay and would happily return
Bad reviews for this hotel have mentioned the noise of bin trucks - yes, I heard them (we were on first floor) but I was already awake, and they weren't anything that would massively disturb me had I been asleep. This hotel was no noisier than 80% of others I've stayed in.
In the standard room (which we got at a brilliant rate) the windows are overlooked by offices across the alley, so during the week you may have curtains closed more than normal, but the offices were empty all weekend. If it bothers you pay a bit more for sea view perhaps. It didn't bother us at all, and was more than made up for by the fantastic location.

We had grate expectations to the second three cause menu. The promise of delicious dishes with paired wines was a tempting choice. The starter a salad mix of freshwater crayfish was ok but not very special. The wine were plain and cheap. The main cause consisted of a tiny amount of potato, cantrell and potato terrine thing, accompanied by to tiny overcooked pieces of meat of some kind. The sauce was quite tasting. The wine pairing was at a low level. Must be hard to find a pinot noir that tasteless. The dessert was presented in a tiny glass tray together with a kind of sauternes wine. The champagne mousse with strawberries were a cheesecake with cloudberies. Not what we expected. We will not be back. Use your money somewhere else.

We dined in because we were exhausted after a long night/day/night of travel. We were very happy with the high standard of the food and service. The menu was easy to follow and had good choices, the food was excellent. Our wait staff were very good with just the right amount of time between courses, and friendly. The guest beer gives you a chance to try something you might not ordinarily find and the wine list was very good. We were more than satisfied with our dining experience here and would recommend it to anybody whether staying at the hotel or not.

With some traditional Swedish dishes, like "Skagenröra", done just a bit different, and sometimes served on stone platters, always with a smile from the waiters, and excellent recommendations as to which wine goes with what dish, a very pleasant atmosphere - a touch rustic, and enough space between the tables to not be disturbed by other guests, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. Location is also good, so I'd love to come back in the spring/summer, to enjoy the view of the lake as well.

Great hotel, in old town (gamla stan) alongside the water , boat trips galore.Very quaint, i believe its over 300 years old. Superb breakfast, attentive staff, nothing to much trouble.As most In Stockholm, food and drink expensive, but hey ho enjoy.

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
