Prior to flying overseas we had reserved a table online through Trip Advisor/The Fork, and received confirmation which we printed and brought with us only to find the establishment closed for the holidays. Why accept and CONFIRM a booking then? First impressions count. This place...More

This was the first restaurant we had dinner at as soon as we got to Stockholm because we saw it on Andrew Zimmern's show and it was highly recommended. I really don't know what he based his recommendation on because the food was very average....More

Particularly now, in its temporary home, this place is all about one thing: fresh fish and seafood. You may be paying a bit more than at similarly casual restaurants, but you know that that money is all going into the impeccable food. Presentations are elegant...More

A friend recommended this restaurant when learning we would be in Stockholm. So we tried it, and were most pleased. It’s a seafood restaurant, so don’t expect anything else. They did have a beef item on the menu, so our one picky eater was also...More

This is one of our summer traditions. It is always a must when we are in Stockholm in July-August. We always have toast skagen with a bigger portion of "röra". It is always soooo delicious. Quite expensive though but worth it.

From market trader to purveyor to His Majesty the King. It all began in the early 1920s. Fisherman's daughter Lisa Elmqvist traded her wares at a street market by the waterfront, and customers quickly flocked to her stall. Her fish, shellfish and cookery skills were of such a high standard that she swiftly moved up to Ostermalms Saluhall - the perfect place to allow her ability to shine through. Today, 90 years later, the fourth generation of the Elmqvist family continues her work assiduously from the same stall, gaining more and more experience and ambitions. The restaurant has recommendations in Guide Michelin for the last 10 years in a row. During the renovation of the old market hall from 1888 you will find us at the temporary market hall at Ostermalstorg. We will move back summer 2018.
