After a film shoot at the National Museum, we ate at the restaurant in a gorgeous atrium dining room. After perusing the menu that included several buffet selections, sandwiches, and entre items, we chose the vegetarian buffet, which included the bread table. Unfortunately, we didn’t find out until after we sat down that coffee was not included in the price,... More

This is a busy self-service restaurant serving lunch in the basement of the National Museum. We found the salad buffet offered a very wide and varied choice of tasty well-prepared salads, including fruit. At busier times there is also a good turnover with new salad dishes arriving as the old ones are used-up. This is an excellent option for vegetarians... More

If you are looking for a lunch restaurant in central Stockholm, why not try the nice buffet in the National Museum. Perfect vegetarian buffet with home made bread, top quality. Add smoked salmon and it´s near perfect. And after a good meal - look at some of the paintings, it´s good for digestion.

Of the many eateries we have experienced in connection with visiting a museum, the Atrium scores the lowest. Perhaps we were unfortunate, but cannot give it thumbs up. We took the salad with salmon, but ended up tasting only 10% hereof and returning the rest. Uncolorful leaves, no fresh looking ingredients in general. Tasteless and without any soul and spirit.... Average food, nice and fast service, but too noisy, sometimes hard to find an empty table.

We had lunch here. I love the setting of the restaurant, very nice and cozy! I ordered soup of the day. It was seafood soup, but I could only find few shrimps in it. The taste was not bad though. I think this place is perfect for just having coffee, not for lunch. We tried 'kanelbulle' and chocolate cake. They... More

Serves a wide range of dishes that cater to all tastes. Creative, but doesn't match the offer of the nearby Museum for Contemporary Art (Moderna). The setting is very nice, but at weekends it gets crowded and noisy. Good for a family outing with small children

Really, there's not much more to say than this. Just go there for a drink, don't bother about the lunch buffet - the food is fairly poor and you can do far better.

Fantastic place. Just go and take a cup of tea and enjoy the architecture.
