Went here for lunch with my co-workers. First, the waitress at the door was a bit rude to us (yes, I understand you have a lot to do, but that doesn't mean you have to be rude), but once we got our table, we also got a new waitress, and she was kind and helpful. However, the food leaves a... More

Good food and service, as many other restaurants in Malmö. What is special is that they are open and serve meals when there are performances at the opera, even Sunday afternoon. We had a very pleasant dinner at 14.00 before walking through the park to Malmö Live. Check the website to see what menus they offer and when. The fixed... More

The salad bar at lunch time is good. Those who chose the traditional thursday-lunch peasoup said it was very good and they also enjoyed the buffet of pancakes. For my part a beet-root colured, pink, codrelated fish ("kolja") was about the dryest piece of fish I've ever had. The place was full, popular for lunch and the 1940's interios is... More

Pre-musical meal, served by friendly and professional staff. The food was good, no surprises and the wines that were recommended were excellent.

We went to see the musical of Billy Elliot at the Malmö Opera on Feb 20, 2016. The only available seats where we could sit together were part of a dinner and show package for 1095kr per person, but it was a special occassion and we decided to splurge, and were really looking forward to our first dinner at the... Been to this restaurant a couple of times, for weddings as well as just for food after taking in an opera. They always have a solid lowest level, good if not great wine menu and overall just a pleasant experience.

Well prepared Swedish and international classics for lunch or dinner and they know what beers go with the food. The best beers are those they make on the premises, some one-offs for specific operas or musical shows. Excellent spot for a business lunch, I've never been disappointed. For dinner, make sure you know it's open or, even better, make a... More

Their salladsbuffé is quite poor compared to similar places in Malmo. Today the lunch was duck - and it was really hard to slice it with the fork and knife available. I did not like the food. The lunch costs 110 kr. They also serve a complementary fruit shot - but it I does not help so much.

Malmö Opera's restaurant serves not only typical Swedish home cooking but also international dishes, often customised to the customer's taste and requirement. The menu varies according to the seasons and most of what we serve is of organic produce. Even our wines are chosen carefully by our own sommeliers. We of course serve fish dishes as well, also from sustainable origin so you can enjoy good food here without having to jeopardise your conscience! The Opera Grill can proudly boast its own mini brewery with many different sorts of our own home brewed beer. Most welcome!
