The food was delicious, the wine complimented the food perfectly and the service was top-notch. Definitely a great experience that I could recommend.

Being so lucky to live in Copenhagen Ive been comming to Era Ora many times over the last 20 years. The food has always been an amazing jorney in some of the best italian food I have ever tasted. In the old days Era Ora used to serve 10 antipastis with lots of canapes inbetween, 1 pasta and or risotto... More

Booked a table long in advance as most high end restaurants are closed over this period. Wanted a very beautiful but relaxed dinner for my son and friend. Greated by warm, helpful, incredibly knowledgeable staff. Quickly realised set menu was actually more than 10 courses plus wine matching which was not what i had wanted at all. I knew from... More

Grey and low sky over Copenhagen... none of us had much appetite on that day for lunch... but we had a reservation!... so we went and: nobody had any regrets! Kids and adults really enjoyed the food: small adequate portions and great tastes. Wine (a 2000 Barbaresco) was also fantastic... and all of this for quite a reasonable price.

All an italian experience from north to south in your mouth! Try the second selection of wines pared with the plate: divine! Congratulation to the staff... More

Heavily starched linens, omnipresent wait staff, small room, 15 minutes between courses, ok I can live with that. But when the portions are near invisible and combine odd tastes and textures, plus grizzly barely edible meats, forget about it. Worse yet, there are absolutely no substitutions. It's a set menu. If the chef prepared frogs legs au jus and you... More

Visited Era Ora on Friday night for a late dinner with friends. The experience was from the beginning to the end one of the most exquisite, we have ever tried. The interior is clean and cosy, the atmosphere is warm. Our sweet waiter did a marvellous job putting his best effort into making the evening into a succes. No doubt... More

Being an Italophile, this was my third visit to this place; and it´s been a while since last time. The set menu is varied and what is likable about it is that it offers dishes from different regions, yet it offers a convincing degree of regional authenticity. I should deduct half a star as the lentil (or bean) risotto was... More

This was my 2nd visit to Era Ora. The first time it was wife and I; our conclusion was that it was one of the 3 best meals we have ever experienced --ever. We enjoyed a lovely long dinner with some of the best service ever, and, of course, wonderful food and excellent wines. The space, with soaring ceilings, is small enough to make the room feel special, yet we never felt crowded. The back doors/windows open up to a beautiful courtyard, and though they were closed for the weather, made the room... More

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
