We visited this place for a quick bite to eat after arriving in the morning in Copenhagen. Foolishly, I didn't book in advance so we were lucky to be given a table for 45minutes. Having read other reviews I was expecting an 'open sandwich' cafe and in my opinion, this really undersells this place. Told and Snaps is a restaurant... More

Excellent introduction to an upscale Danish meal of Smorrebrod (open face sandwich). We had pork loin and meatball. Both came with delicious bread, pickles and cabbage. Also tried Snaps (like a liqueur). Many different flavors and waiter was very kind while explaining different types. We couldn't get a reservation online but it was right near our hotel. We took a... Friendly service and nicely decorated restaurant. We got both drinks and food quickly and their home-brewed beer and schnapps tasted excellent. The food however was way too salty. Both herring and flounder was over salted. We did almost run out of Copenhagen water after this visit, we were thirsty from all the salt. Prefer the little Apotek, tastier food there.

An enjoyabe experience with very good well presented classic Danish lunch dishes. Good service and comfortable restaurant. An ideal means of presenting traditional Danish cuisine at its best. Affordable but not cheap.

This was recommended by our walking tour guide. Fab little restaurant, seemed to be very popular- all the tables were taken. Had a super lunch of smorrobord, pork and herring. Would return and recommend to others.

Came here on our last day, for the typical Danish open sandwich. Chose this place because they've been reviewed as having Gluten Free options, I was expecting a limited menu but they had adapted everything for GF options. Amazing! Fantastic service. We didn't know what to choose so took their recommendations and food was delicious. It's obligatory to have a... More

This was a great lunch of typical Danish cuisine in a family owned restaurant. Very traditional, delicious and inviting. Oh, and did I mention they make their own schnapps? So good! We were warmly welcomed by a family member who accommodated us (and our lack of Danish cuisine) during their very busy lunch rush. The server took the time to... More

Well this is a tough one for me I have never had a bad experience at "Told og Snaps" on the contrary they always deliver very high quality. However at this my latest visit I was somewhat disappointed not at the quality but more on what I felt like a disinterest in what was on the plate from the kitchen.... More

Weekend brunch is perfect in this traditional historic yet quite small restaurant. You must book ahead . It serves a vast menu of open sandwiches , quite delicious. The wine is expensive (normal for Copenhagen) the schnapps is the real treasure here. A huge variety. Excellent service . This is a real must visit . It's down small side street... More
