The food was good tasting, local traditional dishes, special taste the ginger lemon. You can eat under the shadow giving large trees. Enjoyed the experience of eating the Maria and her mother dishes

This lovely little tavern was just a minute away from our room. Situated on a lovely square at Kastellorizo, 'Platania' is known among other things because the Italian film Mediterraneo was filmed there. A famil-run business at a lovely spot, it serves home-made food with a smile. Everything was nice, calm and authentic and the owners were really friendly. The... More

It is like eating the food made by your mom or the grannie!!! LOVELY. The ladies that run the restaurant offer such a good and warm hospitality and along with the excellent food , in this quite and romantic location, makes the selection absolutely superb!!!!

Hands down the best place we ate in Kastellorizo. Walked in the first night and asked for a menu. At which point Maria, the owner, said there was no menu. The YaiYai (grandmother) cooked all the food during the day, and that was the menu. At that point we knew we were in for a treat. Food was honestly amazing.... More

Great local dishes, served by very friendly and accommodating staff in a beautiful square next to a church lit by fairy lights. We pre ordered the slow cooked lamb and goat the day before which was absolutely excellent. We visited twice in total because the food was so good.

Such a lovely restaurant tucked away - magical atmosphere in the square and delicious food. Stuffed onions and amazing chicken with rice. We came back twice - one day we ordered the 24hr slow cooked goat and lamb and it was wonderful. Lovely red wine and desserts too, all round one of our favorites.

Most restaurants in Kastellorizo are along the qui. It's beautiful to sit there and perhaps see a turtle in the sea (we did several times). But please also visit Ta Platania up in the old centre of the town. When you walk through a couple of tiny streets and up several steps, you will then enter the central square. The... More

quiet place, away from the waterside restaurants and their displays of seafood! here you get what's being cooked that day ! very homely, great cuisine and its simplicity deserves the full ratings ! we had stuffed onions and meat balls with rice.. both were excellent and chickpeas fritters [one up on well known falafel in lebanese/mediterranean cuisine] were simply delicious
