Well worth the walk round from the Venetian harbour to experience this delightful sea view restaurant. The location is very scenic and tranquil overlooking the coast. It was easy to get a table closest to the sea and soak in the atmosphere while eating and drinking at a leisurely pace. The food was really delightful and representing great value for... More

We went to this restaurant as it seemed to be the only one that did not have touts to pull you in. This town seemed to exist to fleece tourists! Food was good and reasonably priced, but they charged far too much for waters and coffees. The terrace overlooks the sea and was very pleasant.

Not many places are so romantic as this one! We enjoyed delicious traditional Greek food with a background that was breathtaking. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset overlooking the sea. Our waiter Clement was also a service minded and talented person as he spoke 5 languages and in addition to his knowledge about the food.

We visited this restaurant on recommendation of friends and were pleasantly surprised by the wide choice of dishes available, plus the excellent service. We knew the view was amazing as had visited other restaurants along this road before. We chose 10 dishes between the 5 of us from fried courgettes, to chicken in wine to Cretan salad. All were tasty... More

Meal took forever to arrive, despite being noon and not many customers around. Prices mid to high. Taste was nothing special either. Wouldn't recommend.

This is a very nice restaurant overlooking the Port, on the road to the Fortezza. We ate here a few weeks ago and decided to come back in the hope of some cooling breezes from the sea on a very hot & humid day. Well there was little in the way of a breeze but the excellent food more than... More

Situated next to the sea on the main road between the fortress and harbour Fanari doesn't look much but the service and food were good. Very reasonable prices make this place well worth visiting.

We had a good lunch here at the sea edge. Good selection of main and small dishes from the kitchen across the busy road which makes the servers job all the more difficult. So lovely to sit by the water and enjoy lunch without paying the huge prices charged at the inner harbour restaurants.

Lovely taverna overlooking the sea near the Fortezza. Local dishes, freshly cooked. Very reasonable prices. A lovely place to sit and watch the sun go down.
