We had a very nice meal. Our hotel owner recommended this restaurant, and we hesitated because we were the only one there, but later we understood that the locals eat there later. The food was very good, we ate sea weed salad, grilled prawns and calamari and for desert the brought us slices of watermelon, we recommend the restaurant.

The shrimp saganaki was exceptional and the dakos was awesome. Also enjoyed the grilled prawns. Even though we were the only ones there, we often had to hunt someone down for service. That said, they brought fresh fruit and two pitchers of raki - one honey infused and the other of high quality to top off the meal!

We had rented a car to go to from Chania to Balos beach. On the way home we were really hungry so we stopped at the first place possible. Like a win on the lottery we hit the bull's eye! With not that much money on the pocket we thought that we couldn't afford this place, but when looking at... More

We were recommended this restaurant as 'the best fish taverna in town', a locals' favourite. We had a delicious and generous portion of sandsmelt, fried red mullet and king prawns, accompanied by a seaweed salad. Our waiter guided the choice suggesting the day's best catch, and the fish really tasted fresh and delicious, as well as being perfectly cooked. At... More

On that evening we actually booked another restaurant, but the taxi driver wasn't sure about its location and dropped us at the city center. We were hungry and decided to eat at any restaurant on our way. We stopped by Stimadoris, checked if they had fresh fish and made an order. The food was served pretty fast and tasted very... More

If you're in it for the food, you can't be disappointed. It is an incredible place for seafood and fish. The food is expertly prepared, and it still has a "homey" feeling. It might not be very cheap, but then again, seafood and fish is expensive everywhere in Greece, so if you take that into consideration, the prices are reasonable.

We had a great meal here on our recent trip to Rethymno. The restaurant was very quiet the evening we visited -- not sure why, people are missing out! The squid was lovely and so was the shrimp saganaki, and if you're looking for something a bit different, try the seaweed salad. The meal was finished by a lovely custard-filled... More

We ate some mixed fish and were very satisfied: particularly delicious clams and octopus. All fresh and nice setting.
