Came here on our second night and ate here most nights thereafter. The food was absolutely beautiful. It was well prepared and tasted stunning. The family that own the place treated us like their own. If I could rate this place any higher I would. A treat not to be missed.

Stayed for 2 weeks, was a lovely relaxing holiday, Kostas, Michelle and family make you feel so very welcome nothing is too much trouble. On site taverna serves lovely food cooked by effi. There are enough tavernas around the area to walk to and beach is about 10 min walk just a shame it's very stoney. Apartments are a good... More

We ate here on our first night in Maleme . From the outside it looks great . We ordered the two specials - lamb in the oven and cock in red wine (which actually weren't specials as they were on the board for the two weeks that we were there) ! The food was really poorly served and very greasy... More

Should have walked away when we saw the dirty tablecloth but never. Ordered our meals, starters, mains and drinks. Starters arrived with the wine these to be honest were OK and as others had said big portions. The mains arrived I had ordered Brean as I am a vegetarian, I have been eating this for over 25 years in Greece... More

This isn't far the worse meal ever, service unbelievable . Four waiters all sat down no one clearing the tables no one welcoming you in" find a table" was the welcome we received. Table cloths all dirty when you sit down replaced by paper. This is sad really as the mother built up this business and the children don't have... More

We went to perasma a week ago and food was yummy-asked for a glass of retsina to go with my lamb chops-said he didn't have any but made a phone call and five minutes later a young chap pitched up on a motor bike with a bottle of retsina! Great service and the chops were delicious-also no evidence of bad... More

We've been at Perasma taverna four times and everytime the food has been delicious, and we have tried many portions from a rooster to a spaghetti. Only negative thing has been a little slow service but last time there even that was really great. We were having a really nice conversation with the staff and I was taught how to... More

Possibly the worst taverna I have ever visited. Food appalling staff rude and aggressive. Absolutely no idea how they keep the business going. Truly awful experience

The Taverna is beautiful inside and out. You could tell it was a family run restaurant, Mama was cooking in the kitchen and the servers were all part of the family which gave it a very nice atmosphere. The server advised us on the food to go for as it was local to the area and it was lovely. Massive... More

Ate here the first night of our holiday we were tempted by the traditional look, the board outside stated that the special tonight was Lamb in the Oven, (the sign was up every day) a favorite of mine so I tried it, when it came it was swimming in oil with just a few potatoes on the side. it was...
