Maybe the only purely vegetarian restaurant on the island, I was planning the visit from home already... the stop in Chania after a visit of the North West coast was a bit forced, but definitely rewarding. The service was cheerful and very helpful, the girl who attended our table could describe every dish and every special in details and make... More

This restaurant really comes from the heart; the staff are friendly and dedicated to ensuring you have a wonderful time. They explained and described all the dishes in detail and we were served some fantastic, home made delights. A great place for vegan, vegetarians and meat-eaters as the locally sourced food is truly amazing! If I returned to Chania in... More

My daughter has IBS so doesn't eat dairy. She had the vegan moussaka and said she was so happy to finally have real Greek food! The delightful owner came out to explain the menu to us and although my Greek is rusty, his English was wonderful. We had a magical eggplant/raisin/garlic appetizer that was unbelievably good! He even made us... More

Was really looking forward to visit this highly rated vegetarian restaurant. Sadly was left very disappointed. Every dish we tried to order was not available. Lentils no, stuffed vine leaves no, chestnuts no, humus no and on and on. It came down to what do you have, potatoes, bread, mushrooms & butter beans. Left slightly hungry and not cheap either.... After reading the great reviews for this restaurant we were eager to try it especially as my wife is vegetarian. The restaurant itself lacked charm and had the feel of a primary school classroom. We tried ordering but virtually everything we ordered was not available. This included vine leaves, hummus, lentils and mousaka. The wine was late and arrived in... More

After all those delicious, yummy vegan food we had in regular restaurants, we were disappointed in this special vegan/vegetarian restaurant. The owner took the orders personally and recommended us his specialty "vegan mushroom" which came with feta cheese!!! They had no ice cubes in the restaurant...the service was slow and careless, the food below average.

Good food, but I recommend booking av table in advance. We had to wait quite a while. Other than that, very good! :)

Can recommend this restaurant highly. As non-vegetarians we have never actually eaten in a vegetarian restaurant, but decided to try To Stachi based on the reviews and a recommendation. We liked it so much we went back again the next evening for our last dinner in Chania. The food is tasty, traditional and light and the owner and his daughter... More
