The Well of the Turk restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel we were staying in (The Monastery Estate Venetian Harbor). Mr George went there to celebrate his birthday with family. It proved to be a great recommendation, the food the...More

Really great food - mixture of Cretan and Middle Eastern meze dishes - in a lovely courtyard/quiet street in the old town. Waiter gave us good advice about the right amount to order and offered to make a salad meze-sized when we were being a...More

Finding this restaurant was a relief as it was our second night of searching. A lovely restaurant with a nice courtyard garden to eat in. Beautiful lighting after dark really makes it a magical place to eat. We had the Spicy prawns and Cheese saganaki...More

We visited the Well of the Turk after visiting last year. It was exceptional then and this year was even better. We had the meals in the pictures below, and they were mouth wateringly good, especially the Mediterranean Chicken. That was to die for. We...More

Disgusting wine and terrible service for which as a surprise we had to pay. Just continue walking and go elsewhere. Too many good choices.

We arrived quite late (about 11pm) and whilst the service was friendly and polite the food was somewhat tired and a little boring. Quite a good wine list, but overall the experience was somewhat under whelming

The Well of the Turk restaurant and bar offers a delicious selection of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern specialties, to be enjoyed to the sounds of a great collection of Middle Eastern music. Set in a historical building in the center of the Turkish district of Splantzia, with its labyrinth of narrow streets and two remaining minarets, one will find The Well of the Turk restaurant at Rouga Square, across the unique 13th century underground church of Agia Irene.
