Once you've found the place (and it isn't easy in the labyrinth), well done, relax. The food is excellent - a spicy Middle Eastern cuisine - so welcome after a week of stuffed vine leaves and hearty Cretan fare. Restaurant opens at 18:00. Come earlyish...More

A truly delightful restaurant tucked away in the old town, seating on the street and tucked into a walled garden. A warm evening, candles and bougainvillea. the service is friendly and helpful, the meal we ate was easily up there with the best we had....More

Great little Middle Eastern restaurant in Chania - they have a lovely garden out back that is all charm and class. The food was delicious and service with a smile. Loved it!

Excellent food, all fresh and delicious. Sitting in the courtyard is a beautiful experience. Service was great, wine list was excellent. Despite what you may read it is not hard to find-definitely worth a meal while in Chania.

Near Splantzia Square in Chania, down a picturesque laneway, my friends and I discovered the best food of the old city -- at the Well of the Turk. Dishes that just can't be found elsewhere were presented beautifully and spiced to perfection. Make the effort...More

We went for a guided tour on Segway and got the restaurant recommend by the guide. After eating here we understand why - very good food. Try the Mese.

The food in this restaurant is a fusion of Greek and North African so is a little different to most of the other restaurants in the town. Lots of really interesting dishes loaded with flavours of mint and spices. Prices are reasonable and service is...More

The Well of the Turk restaurant and bar offers a delicious selection of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern specialties, to be enjoyed to the sounds of a great collection of Middle Eastern music. Set in a historical building in the center of the Turkish district of Splantzia, with its labyrinth of narrow streets and two remaining minarets, one will find The Well of the Turk restaurant at Rouga Square, across the unique 13th century underground church of Agia Irene.
